The idea behind The Ryan Project
“Every Ryan knows another Ryan.” That is the starting idea: follow a familiar name into a wider collection of people, stories, and connections.
More than one place in a name
Ryan can be a first, middle, or last name. The project also welcomes the Ryan sound in names such as Bryan and Ryon, with spelling variants called “cousins.”
A story can be small
You do not need an extraordinary biography. A name story, a place you care about, a skill, or a funny everyday detail can make an introduction memorable.
Keep curiosity respectful
Let people choose how they describe themselves. Ask before sharing another person’s story, and leave unsupported family links or name-history claims out of it.
